Education

East of England

Schole owns and operates low cost private schools in East Africa. We currently run 9 schools in Kenya and 2 schools in Uganda, educating over 4,000 students.

Schol's business model is unique in two ways. Firstly, we acquire and improve existing schools, rather than starting new schools from scratch. Secondly, we implement UK and international education best practice in local curriculum schools with local teachers.

Schole was founded by Adam Nichols in 2012. Originally conceived as a UK academy and free school operator, a chance meeting with a Zambian mining executive a few weeks after he started the business led Adam into Africa's education sector, where he quickly spotted the opportunity and need for high quality education at an affordable price. The company is now wholly focused on sub-Saharan Africa.
